Hotel Aiken is the place to "play and stay" in Aiken, South Carolina! Why not get away from the “cookie-cutter” Hotels for once and give us a try? We are sure you will enjoy the experience! It's all about "location, location, location" and we are THE place to be if you're visiting Aiken! We are centrally located in historic downtown surrounded by the best restaurants, shopping, and nightlife that our town has to offer. We are proud to have the most popular bars in Aiken where the party doesn't stop until 2AM every night of the week. Whether you're in town for leisure or business, if you're looking for a good time, we would love to have you as a guest! If you're looking for a quiet, quaint hotel unfortunately we are not the place for you. We invite you to experience the real Aiken...come play and stay with us during your next visit to Aiken!
Originally built in 1898 the main building of the Hotel Aiken has gone through many changes and a series of major and continuous renovations since 2001, with the accent on retaining the historical feel of this landmark building while providing all the modern amenities one would expect from a contemporary Hotel, such as free use of hard-wired HSIA and wireless internet in all rooms. We also offer more moderate accommodations in our exterior hallway courtyard building, where the rooms are basic, standard motel rooms. Our main bar, The Polo Tavern, is one of downtown Aiken’s most popular watering holes. We have live entertainment on Wednesday, Thurday, Friday and Saturday nights and are open seven days a week. The Tiki Tavern on the back patio of the Polo Tavern was awarded the title of “Best New Bar” in Aiken for 2006 by readers of the prestigious Augusta Magazine. In 2009, the hotel opened One Hundred Laurens, an ultra hip lounge bar open Thursday through Sunday serving a variety of high end wines and cocktails. "100," as it's regulars call it, offers live entertainment Thursday and Friday and hosts DJ Kenny Ray & co. every Saturday night.
Due to the popularity of all of our hotel bars and our downtown location, it should be noted when making reservations that we are very much a “lively hotel ” in Aiken and if you’re looking for a lively, fun and busy venue, especially on weekends, then you should stay with us. Our three on site bars are open until 2AM seven nights a week, which makes us quite the party hotel. Please keep this in mind when making your reservations. Located on Richland Avenue, we are the only Hotel in town that is truly in the heart of downtown and therefore we are walking distance from all of Aiken’s many other excellent restaurants, bars and stores. We are also happy to offer the LOWEST government rate of all of the historic downtown hotels! Call us today at (803) 648-4265 to find out more if you are a government employee!
